Swoosh-Swoosh

page 24- "Marriage, in my culture, has nothing to do with romance. It's a matter of logic. If Mr. and Mrs. Ahmadi like Mr. and Mrs. Nejati, then their children should get married." This reminded me of Children of the River, because in the Cambodian culture they also get arranged marriage, and the way they choose who their children in similar to how it is in Iranian culture.

page 25- "There was no such thing as canned, frozen, or fast food. everything, except for bread which was purchased daily, was made from scratch." In America most people don't make their whole meals from scratch. Since there is so many things in grocery stores that you can just buy and make at home in less then 20 minutes, people don't usually spend half of there day making one meal like people in other countries do.

  1. I try and find the quickest way to make a meal which is sad. I wish I spent more time on cooking.
