page 57- "My husband, Francois loves to travel." Even though this line is short this made me think of Children of the River because like Firoozeh, Sundara falls in love with a boy from another culture.
Page 59- "To my family, a vacation usually meant going to a relative's house and sleeping on the floor, squeezed between several cousins." This just goes to show that fun and vacations are different for everyone and cultures.
